The Process

I have this thing for cast iron pots, so I had one that I started using on the top of the stove to melt wax in a canning jar.  I had some wax sitting around in a canning jar and so mostly I just throw in second hand candles.

Then I pour the wax over paper and other stuff that I’ve glued to boards or whatever.  Then I iron it with an old iron that I found at the goodwill.  I got it because it was cheap first of all, and because the things that look like they were made when I was a kid are usually heavier duty.  And I like the fabric wrapped cord.  Of course it makes a creepy sparking when I plug it in.

This is how my old man feels about melting wax in the kitchen.
